If you are wondering whether a prospective property falls within a member's service territory, contact the member directly to find out if they serve your chosen location.



3. Research what it takes to build a NZEH. Use the list of Resources as a starting point.



4. Is your financial house in order? While WPPI Energy does provide grants, applicants are expected to share in the cost of the new home or remodel. Top tier credit is critical especially in today's mortgage industry.



5. Reduce your energy use now by reviewing Ideas for Your Home. Past energy use is used to evaluate applicants to see if they are a good fit for a grant.



6. Make sure you are comfortable allowing your home to be a show piece. In return for grant dollars WPPI Energy will work with homeowners to publicize the home and its technologies through tours and other informational forums.
